After a successful partnership in Victoria, Single O and Reground are breaking some ground in Sydney to introduce the first circular coffee waste diversion program in NSW. In a landfill, coffee ground waste emits methane - a gas that is 30x more harmful than CO2. With Reground, this waste is given a second crack and repurposed in local community and home gardens.

Over the next two years, this program will divert 200,000 kgs of coffee grounds from the landfill - that's an equivalent to 5.6 million cups of coffee! Huge shoutout to the EPA NSW Food Organics Diversion Grant - with their support, they've enabled us to expand this program, making sustainable circular practices more accessible to our hospo fam. We're calling on our coffee community to join the circular cafe movement and our No Death to Coffee mission by fighting against waste and climate change.
